Hi, my name is Jennie and I am based in Stansted. Seeking counselling may feel daunting, but it can be the first step to positive change. I am here to guide you through that change process at a pace that suits you.
My aim is to provide you with a space for reflection, to allow you to work out what you want from your life and how to get the most out of it.
If you feel ready to make changes in your life, I am ready to listen and support you on your journey. I appreciate what a brave first step you are taking and very much look forward to working with you.
My own counselling journey took me through a period of anxiety and depression, learning my own self-worth and discovering that I was an empath greatly helped me to heal. I was helped with the pluralistic approach and learnt how to change my negative thought patterns, by using person-centered, psychodynamic therapy and CBT.
I learnt that a lot of my "stuff" had been created during my childhood years and had been embedded deep in my subconscious mind, rearing it's ugly head in my adult life when it really wasn't needed.
Coming out of counselling I became a completely new person and knew that I wanted to change my career path and help other people to understand, accept themselves, their situations and the world around them in the same way that I had been helped.
I am a qualified Hypnotherapist and enjoy incorporating aspects of relaxation, meditation and mindfulness into sessions, if this is what the client wishes.
My past career includes working as an IT Trainer in London and in a secondary school in an administrative capacity whilst providing counselling support to the students.
I am passionate about what I do and have no greater joy than seeing my client walk away from their therapy sessions a different, more relaxed, more confident and happier person.
And I must add ..... I am a massive animal lover!
