Affordable Counselling Service
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.”
I offer a private, non-judgemental space where you can freely talk and process what is happening in your life. Feeling safe is essential to be able to do this, so confidentiality, acceptance, and trust are central to my practice. Our past experiences make us who we are, and shape our beliefs and behaviours. Though it can be scary at first to open up, feeling safe enough to talk about our past can be transformative.
We are all unique, therefore each of us will require something different from our therapy. For this reason, working with an approach that resonates with you is essential to me. I am a trainee integrative counsellor, so though I work in a person-centred way, I integrate other approaches such as attachment theory, psychodynamic theory and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This allows me to offer counselling that is flexible and fluid, continuously adapting to your needs and experiences.
Each person is an expert on themselves, growing and moving through life in a way that is deeply personal. I believe that we all have the ability to resolve our difficulties, but that sometimes we need our voices reflected back to us. It is the act of being listened to and truly heard that enables us to find the answers within.
