Affordable Counselling Service
We all find things hard at certain times in our lives. When we do, it can help to work through our thoughts and feelings with someone who seeks to understand us, someone who can offer effective reflection on our situation.
I will provide a safe, confidential and accepting space, where you can openly explore your life issues. You may come to better understand the relationship of your past and your present, to see patterns in your personal relationships and - ultimately - to make fuller use of your own resources to effect positive change in your life.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I’ll work flexibly with you. To support your goals I can draw from knowledge of humanistic, existential and psychodynamic approaches to counselling, as well as elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. My aim will be to support your own ability to grow towards positive change; through self-discovery, self-acceptance and a renewed trust in yourself.
I'm working towards a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the Life-Force Counselling School. This course is accredited by the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I’ve previously undertaken volunteer training to offer emotional-support to individuals in times of personal crisis. I also have professional experience of supporting adults with a ‘dual diagnosis’ of mental-health conditions and a history of problematic substance-use.
I'm committed to respecting your confidentiality and to maintaining professional standards. As a Student Member of the BACP, I’m bound by the 'Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy'.
