Affordable Counselling Service

“There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud became more painful than the risk it took to blossom” Anais Nin

As is the case for most of us, life has presented me with many personal challenges.  Over the years, counselling has enabled me to not only cope in difficult times, but to learn about myself and grow into the person that I am today. It is my first-hand experience of the transformative power of therapy which fuels my passion to help my clients to work through their own challenges and evolve.

MY APPROACH

My approach is pluralistic.  This simply means that as well as providing you with a safe, confidential, empathetic, judgement free space in which to access and work through your feelings, we can also use practical tools which can help you cope with difficult emotions in the present.  We can also explore past experiences helping you to a deeper understanding of how they may have influenced your thoughts, emotions and behaviours.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Now in my third year of training as a counsellor, I am also a qualified hypnotherapist and worked for several years as a coach, helping people achieve their weight loss goals. I can presently work with adults facing many life issues including those related to bereavement and loss, relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, anger and motivation.
