Jo Rushworth
Affordable Counselling Service
I am a trainee psychotherapist, currently in my third year of study towards a Masters in
Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s University, London.
My training is in ‘Integrative Psychotherapy’, which means I have studied a variety of different therapeutic approaches, including psychoanalytic, humanistic and existential ways of working with adult clients.
Every person is unique, as is the way we respond to the challenges life throws at us and to the circumstances we find ourselves in.
If you choose to work with me, I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space in which to explore your world. The focus will be on you as an individual, not just on the issues you bring, and my integrative way of working will mean that the techniques I bring to our work together will be tailored to you and your specific circumstances.
The ‘therapy hour’ will provide a space for you to open up and talk freely, in the knowledge that your reality is being truly heard and understand, and that alone can be incredibly impacting. I will sit with you, listening with empathy and also challenging with curiosity, allowing you to question, reframe and integrate the way you engage with your world.
